Introduction
Little Freedom is a creative and media brand operated by Sotero & Co Pty Ltd under the business name Little Freedom.
Little Freedom shares Suzuki Jimny adventures, photography, videography, storytelling, creative collaborations and digital experiences through the Little Freedom website and iPhone app.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Little Freedom may collect or process, how it is used and shared, and the choices available to website visitors and app users.
Little Freedom aims to handle personal information consistently with applicable Australian privacy requirements and good privacy practice, including principles reflected in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles where they apply.

Information collected directly
Little Freedom may collect information that you choose to provide when you:
- use the contact form;
- send an email;
- make a collaboration or business enquiry;
- enter a giveaway or promotion;
- claim or interact with an eligible member benefit where applicable; or
- otherwise contact Little Freedom.
This information may include your name, email address, country, business information you choose to provide, and the contents of your message.
Information collected automatically through the website
When you visit the website, Little Freedom and its technology providers may automatically process technical and usage information.
Depending on your browser, device, settings and the services active during your visit, this may include:
- IP address;
- browser type;
- device type;
- operating system;
- approximate location derived from technical information;
- pages visited and referring website;
- session duration, navigation and interaction data;
- website performance data; and
- cookie or similar identifiers.
Little Freedom does not use the website to track your precise physical location.
Little Freedom iPhone app
The Little Freedom iPhone app provides photo editing, creative tools, curated Locations, Events, Looks and Bundles, Little Freedom Premium membership features and other Little Freedom experiences.
A Little Freedom account is not currently required to use the app.
The app may communicate with Little Freedom services hosted through WordPress and Railway where required to provide remote content, subscriptions, notifications, protected Premium content and member benefits.
Photos and photo editing
When you choose a photo for editing, the app accesses only the photos you select through Apple system permissions.
Photo editing is performed locally on your device.
Little Freedom does not upload photos selected for editing to Little Freedom servers, Railway or WordPress.
Your original image is not modified by Little Freedom. When you choose to save or export an edited image, the resulting image is written to your device using Apple system functionality.
Little Freedom Premium and Apple purchases
Little Freedom Premium subscriptions are purchased and managed through Apple StoreKit and the Apple App Store.
Apple processes payment information. Little Freedom does not receive or store your full payment card or banking details.
To provide and verify Little Freedom Premium access, Little Freedom may process and retain information associated with an Apple subscription, including:
- subscription product identifier;
- subscription status;
- purchase status;
- renewal status;
- expiration status;
- Apple transaction identifiers;
- information required to restore purchases; and
- information required to reconcile subscription entitlement with Apple.
This information is used to provide subscription functionality, determine access to Premium features, restore purchases, prevent duplicate entitlement processing, manage subscription lifecycle changes and resolve technical or transaction issues.
Monthly and Annual Little Freedom Premium subscriptions may grant the same Premium membership entitlement while having different billing periods.
App installation and technical identifiers
The app may create or process a privacy preserving installation identifier so that Little Freedom services can function without requiring a Little Freedom account.
Little Freedom may process technical identifiers necessary for secure communication between the app and Little Freedom services.
These identifiers are used for app functionality, security, entitlement management, service reliability and prevention of duplicate or invalid processing.
They are not used by Little Freedom for advertising tracking.
Notifications
If you choose to enable notifications, Apple provides the app with an Apple Push Notification service device token.
Little Freedom may store this token together with technical registration information, notification preferences, delivery status and notification history where required to provide the notification service.
Notifications are optional.
You can manage Little Freedom notification preferences inside the app and through iOS Settings.
Little Freedom does not require notifications to be enabled in order to use the core app.
Location information
Locations displayed inside Little Freedom are curated Little Freedom editorial content.
Some app functionality may use your device location locally where location awareness or map functionality requires it and where permitted through Apple system controls.
Little Freedom does not use the app to create a server side history of your precise physical movements.
Little Freedom Premium may provide protected destination information after Premium entitlement verification.
For some Premium Locations, users without the required entitlement may receive only an approximate area rather than exact coordinates.
The exact coordinates made available after entitlement verification describe the Little Freedom destination. They are not a record of the user’s own physical location.
Little Freedom does not intentionally transmit or store the user’s precise device location on Little Freedom servers as part of the Premium Location system.
Little Freedom Premium features
The features available to Free and Premium users may change over time.
Little Freedom manages feature and content availability remotely so that selected Features, Looks, Bundles, Locations, Discounts and other content may be designated Free or Premium.
The app combines this remote configuration with the user’s current entitlement state to determine access.
Examples of Premium capabilities may include selected Looks and Bundles, Carousel Studio, selected Premium Locations, Premium Discounts and eligible member benefits.
Little Freedom may add, remove or change Premium benefits over time.
Premium Discounts and Partner Benefits
Little Freedom Premium may provide access to partner offers, discounts and member benefits.
When an eligible member views, claims or redeems a protected benefit, Little Freedom may process information such as:
- offer identifier;
- privacy preserving membership identifier;
- eligibility status;
- claim status;
- claim time;
- redemption status;
- redemption time;
- assigned coupon or benefit information where applicable; and
- information required to prevent duplicate or invalid claims.
This information is used to verify membership eligibility, administer the offer, prevent duplicate claims, manage redemption and provide the relevant benefit.
Some higher value partner offers may have additional eligibility requirements, such as Annual Premium membership, minimum membership duration or claim limits.
For online offers, Little Freedom may assign a unique coupon supplied by the partner.
For physical offers, Little Freedom may provide a secure verification code or QR experience that allows authorised partner staff to confirm whether a benefit is valid and mark it as redeemed.
Little Freedom does not provide partners with Apple private transaction information, APNs device tokens or unrelated personal information.
Partners receive only information reasonably necessary to verify or fulfil the relevant offer.
Giveaways and promotions
Little Freedom may collect personal information when you enter a giveaway or promotion, including your name, email address, country, Instagram username and information required to administer the promotion.
This information is used to verify entries, conduct draws, contact winners, prevent duplicate or invalid entries and meet legal or administrative requirements.
Where an entrant reaches a promotion through an Instagram automation, Little Freedom may also process technical campaign identifiers and referral information to connect the entry with the relevant interaction and measure campaign performance.
Marketing communications are sent only where you separately choose to opt in.
Little Freedom may use automation providers, including ManyChat, to manage Instagram interactions and connect campaign activity with website entries.
Google Analytics
Little Freedom uses Google Analytics 4 to understand website traffic, performance and general visitor behaviour.
Google may process device and browser information, page interactions, approximate location, and cookie or device identifiers.
Little Freedom does not intentionally send directly identifying information, such as names or email addresses, to Google Analytics.
Google processes information under its own terms and privacy practices.
Little Freedom does not currently use Google Analytics to analyse personal photo editing activity inside the Little Freedom iPhone app.
Microsoft Clarity
Little Freedom uses Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors interact with the website and to improve usability and performance.
Clarity may process page interactions, clicks, scrolling, navigation behaviour, device and browser information, and session information.
Clarity’s session recording features are intended to show how the website is used, not to collect the contents of sensitive fields. Form fields and sensitive information should be masked or excluded where supported by the service.
Microsoft processes information under its own privacy practices.
Microsoft Clarity is not currently used to record a user’s photo editing activity inside the Little Freedom iPhone app.
Cookies and similar technologies
The website may use cookies or similar storage for:
- essential WordPress operation and administration;
- analytics provided by Google Analytics;
- usability and session analysis provided by Microsoft Clarity; and
- recording consent choices where consent controls are available.
The particular cookies used may vary according to your browser, device, privacy settings, login status and consent choices.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings and through any consent controls made available on the website.
Disabling cookies may affect some website features or the accuracy of analytics.
Instagram and Meta integration
Little Freedom uses the official Meta Instagram API to connect the Little Freedom Instagram account to the website.
The integration retrieves public account information and media needed to display the Instagram feed.
The integration may process the connected Instagram account ID and username, public media identifiers, captions, media URLs, permalinks, thumbnails, publication timestamps and OAuth access tokens.
Access tokens are stored server side and are not intentionally exposed to website visitors.
Instagram data is used only to authenticate the connected Little Freedom account, retrieve public Instagram media, display the Instagram feed, maintain the connection, refresh cached content and diagnose connection failures.
Ordinary website visitors are not asked to connect their Instagram accounts.
The integration does not request access to visitors’ private Instagram accounts, direct messages, contacts or private media.
Use of the Instagram integration is also governed by Meta’s terms and privacy practices.
Data received from Meta
The Meta platform data received by Little Freedom relates to the connected Little Freedom Instagram account.
It may include account identity and public media information together with authentication data needed to maintain the connection.
This data is used to authenticate the account, retrieve and display public posts, refresh the website’s server side cache and diagnose connection issues.
It is stored in the Little Freedom WordPress database and hosting environment, including server side options and cached records.
OAuth access tokens are restricted to authorised server side processes and WordPress administrators with appropriate access.
Meta platform data is retained only while it is reasonably needed to operate and maintain the integration, provide the cached feed, diagnose failures, meet security or legal requirements, or until it is refreshed, disconnected or deleted.
It may be processed by hosting and technology providers that support the website, but it is not sold.
Ordinary website visitors do not provide Meta platform data to this integration.
Instagram and Meta data deletion requests
To request deletion of data received through the Instagram integration, email hello@littlefreedom.com.au with your name, the Instagram username or account identity involved, a description of the data you want deleted and a contact email address.
Little Freedom may need to verify the request where appropriate.
Applicable stored Meta platform data will be deleted unless retention is reasonably required for security, legal or operational reasons.
This process relates to data stored by Little Freedom. Requests concerning data held by Meta should be directed to Meta through its own privacy channels.
Contact form
The contact form collects the information entered into its fields, currently including name, email address, country and message.
This information is used to respond to enquiries, discuss collaborations, manage business communications and help prevent spam, misuse or security incidents.
Contact form messages are retained only for as long as reasonably needed for those purposes, website administration, security and applicable legal obligations.
Remote content and service providers
Little Freedom uses WordPress and the Little Freedom App Content Manager to provide editorial app content such as Looks, Bundles, Locations, Events, Projects, collaborations, Features and partner offers.
WordPress content and associated media may be hosted through Little Freedom’s website hosting provider.
Little Freedom uses Railway to provide secure backend services required for app functionality. These may include Apple subscription entitlement verification, notification registration, protected Premium Location information and eligible member benefit functionality.
Apple services used by the app include StoreKit, App Store Server API, App Store Server Notifications and Apple Push Notification service.
These providers may process information as necessary to provide their respective services and according to their own privacy and security obligations.
Tracking and advertising
Little Freedom does not sell personal information.
Little Freedom does not use information collected through the Little Freedom iPhone app for advertising tracking across apps or websites owned by other companies.
Little Freedom does not currently use a third party advertising or analytics SDK inside the iPhone app to track user behaviour across other companies’ apps or websites.
Website analytics and marketing technologies described elsewhere in this policy apply to the website and may operate differently from the iPhone app.
Embedded content and external links
The website and app may link to content or services provided by Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, partner websites and other external platforms.
When you follow an external link or interact with third party content, the external service may collect information under its own privacy policy.
Little Freedom does not control third party websites, services, payment systems or their privacy practices.
You should review the privacy information provided by those services.
Sharing and disclosure
Personal information and technical app information may be shared only where reasonably necessary to operate Little Freedom services, provide requested functionality, manage communications or comply with legal requirements.
Relevant service providers may include:
- website hosting providers, including HostGator;
- backend infrastructure providers, including Railway;
- Apple for App Store purchases, subscription functionality and push notifications;
- analytics and technology providers used by the website, including Google, Microsoft and Meta;
- email and communications providers;
- partners involved in fulfilling a specific claimed member benefit, limited to information reasonably necessary for that benefit;
- professional advisers; and
- legal, regulatory or government authorities where required or authorised by law.
Little Freedom does not sell personal information.
Overseas processing
Apple, Google, Microsoft, Meta, HostGator, Railway and other technology providers may process or store information outside Australia.
Their locations and processing arrangements may change over time.
Little Freedom cannot guarantee that all information remains in Australia.
Where third party infrastructure is used, information may be processed in countries in which those providers or their infrastructure operate.
Data retention
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it is collected or processed.
Website information may be retained for website operation, responding to enquiries, analytics, security, legal obligations and maintenance of integrations.
App subscription, entitlement, notification and member benefit records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the relevant functionality, maintain security, prevent duplicate or fraudulent fulfilment, resolve technical or transaction issues and satisfy applicable legal obligations.
Retention periods may vary according to the type of information and why it is held.
When information is no longer reasonably required, Little Freedom will take reasonable steps to delete or deidentify it where practical and appropriate.
Data security
Little Freedom uses reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the services it operates.
These may include HTTPS, restricted WordPress administration, server side access controls, secure handling of credentials, separated development and production systems, signed Apple transactions, restricted Premium content endpoints, database protections and software updates.
Sensitive Apple private keys and other credentials are not intended to be included inside the public app binary or exposed to app users.
No internet transmission, software system or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Little Freedom cannot promise absolute security, but will take reasonable steps to protect information in its control and respond to known security issues.
Access, correction and deletion
You may ask for access to personal information Little Freedom holds about you, request a correction or deletion, or ask how applicable information has been used.
Email hello@littlefreedom.com.au with enough detail to identify the relevant information and request.
Because Little Freedom currently does not require an app account, some app records may be associated with technical installation identifiers, Apple transaction information or privacy preserving membership identifiers rather than your name or email address.
Little Freedom may ask you to provide information reasonably necessary to identify the relevant records and verify the request.
Little Freedom may retain information where reasonably required for security, prevention of misuse, legal obligations, transaction records or other legitimate operational reasons.
Children
The website and app are intended for a general audience and are not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children.

This Privacy Policy may be updated when Little Freedom’s website, app, Premium membership, partner services, technology providers, business operations or legal requirements change.
